Our teacher is out for treatment for a serious illness. I don’t know if the teacher will return. I gave $100.

And if a parent wants to include a door dash gift card in that card then it’s nothing to do with you.

That should be individual between the parents and the teacher. You should not solicit money for public employees.

Omg no. Please don’t solicit funds because a teacher is on medical leave. This is such a lack of boundaries. I would be mortified if my students sent gifts when I was out on medical leave.

Agree. It’s not professional. Professionals don’t want your gift cards and kitschy gifts.
