As was pointed out to you previously, the "don't record the fights" message is because students aren't supposed to have phones out during school.
The whole email came off as recording or observing a fight was more of a problem than the fight itself.two issues, kids shouldn’t have cell phones out, almost as bad as misgendering someone and violates fight club rules of behavior
That is misplaced priorities and why some, including myself, interpreted it as embarrassing to FCPS and something they would prefer not to be documented.
FCPS specializes in misplaced priorities
Safety should come first. The principal should have empathize that.principal didn’t write the email, most likely crafted by Reid and her crack legal team

No, we love Carson. Fights happen everywhere, none of our kids are going to be the ones getting in fights, so what does it matter?
None of our kids? Yeah, okay.![]()
I live in the Carson-Oakton district. "Our" kids certainly are not immune to this type of behavior. While none of my kids have ever been in a fight, I'm not naive enough to think it could never happen. Teenage brains are nuts, and teens do really stupid stuff, including fighting.

How about the message should be "don't fight in school" instead of making it seem like having a phone in school is felony.
