Correct. I thought Laura's assessment as to why they weren't engaged was accurate: Wheaton Woods thought things were staying the same and that they'd continue to go to Wheaton like now, only for them to be thrown into a whirlwind at the last minute with Taylor's modified B recommendation.

Well, they think they know what is best for the Wheaton Woods families.

page 49 shows RMHS current utilization rate at 94.8%. If that's true, why are there so man portables there? Still don't understand how MCPS is getting enrollment figures.
In this session, they said the portables are due to RM's IB countywide magnet program, which leads to the overutilization.

No, because the board didn't approve it moving forward.
Not option b, which I realize didn’t advance. But what about the alternative?
I think a board member would have had to move the alternative and get a second, which didn't happen.

I thought they were distinct and separate high schools, but in this work session, MCPS confirmed that Edison's 500-seat capacity is factored into Wheaton's boundary and utilization rate.
They also talked about building out the unused shell space in the future as a way of alleviating overutilization at Wheaton.
So it seems that Wheaton and Edison are not in fact separate schools, but that Edison is an extension of Wheaton High School that is available to students across MCPS as a half-day program. Is that right?
