I just imagined that they were used when someone was taking a bubble bath so my visual was clean!

If it helps, I used to keep fashion magazines in my bathroom specifically for reading during baths, and it never occurred to me that people would think they were for reading in the toilet! I kept them on a small stool next to the tub. Now I wonder if guests in my house use to flip through them while on the toilet and am kind of icked out.

But also mostly I'm remembering being a carefree 20 something with the freedom to take long baths flipping through a magazine looking at pictures of clothes. That is unfathomable to me now.

My mom does. I appreciate it when I visit. Nothing like some reading material when you're in there. I dont keep magazines in my bathroom. However, I have an ipad in my bathroom with a bluetooth speaker. When I get ready in the morning, wash my hair, or shower...I will watch something. I dont share a bathroom with my husband. I love it.

My parents kept crosswords and sudoku in the master bathroom, and some random magazines in the powder room downstairs.

We keep some random magazines or catalogs in the powder room too, but at this point everyone reads their phone in there if they're taking more than a minute so I'm not sure it's more than shelf art.

It's not gross because you don't touch them after you wipe. It's no more gross than your clothes you pull back up after taking a dump.
