No. He will blame Biden and his moronic MAGA cult will believe him. Johnson and Thune will go along with him.

Johnson, yes, but I think Thune is generally done with him.

Thune is more dependent on Trump and MAGA. He will never break with Trump.

Johnson is more dependent than Thune - he wouldn't even be speaker anymore if not for Trump's help.

Johnson had that Cuban-born “adopted son.” Ahem.

I am sure Johnson does not want that examined closely…

+1 Mike Johnson is exceedingly light in the loafers. Ever seen/heard him speak?

Being gay and closeted doesn’t make you a molester or abuser. That’s a maga side quest of its own.

That was Matt Gaetz. Johnson took in an American born African American, poverty stricken, young prepubescent boy; however he never officially adopted the child.

That's the Constitution, history, and the facts on the ground. Democrats can shout about relitigating that all they want for Kabuki Theater. Just the facts. Everything else is noise.

Has he notified Congress?

Yes.

Given the personality qualities that have been publicly observed and commented on by mental health professionals, Trump in panic mode is likely to be quite dangerous. Well, even more dangerous. I hope his managers have a plan for that.

How many Clintons and Sotomayors does it take to balance out a Vance/Hamel/Bowman? The funny part is that Bowman probably wouldn’t have been admitted to YLS without DEI — so maybe there will be fewer “morons running the US” going forward.

No, he's the guy capable of believing his own insane lies... that he won the 2020 election, for example. He will die before he sincerely apologizes for anything. He's getting a lot more impulsive and erratic with cognitive decline, and is easily manipulated by the likes the Netanyahu and MBS if they appeal to his baser instincts.

Here are the reasons he went to war, in no particular order:
1. Needs a distraction from Epstein.
2. Needs a distraction from polls showing public is unhappy and might vote blue in the midterms.
3. Wanted to get Iranian leaders because they tried to assassinate him. Tit for tat.
4. Wrongly believes Maduro kidnapping was a brilliant move and feels confident he can replicate regime decapitation elsewhere, without understanding anything about anything.
5. Lets Netanyahu wrap him around his little finger.
6. Saudis have given his family billions, and he's open to their suggestions.
7. Likes to play God and is addicted to being in the news on the global stage.

I think you nailed it.

And I also firmly believe there are people in the administration trying to figure out if a war abroad -- even without a formal declaration from Congress -- might be able to justify disrupting or suspending elections. And maybe not officially, but ... if there are, in the days right before the elections, federal announcements of "credible intelligence" that voting locations in blue states are going to be targeted on Election Day by foreign actors/Iranian sleeper cells, and the feds recommend closing select polls (in large cities, of course!) for security reasons ... well, who would be able to call BS? Then it would be on local/state officials to close polls or not, and get accused of playing politics either way -- and if you terrify or confuse the public enough, they may not show up anyway.
