If you want more flavor you need to grind your own beans and keep them in the freezer. Lack of flavor is a direct result of stale beans or grounds.

I don't understand the relationship between Grit and Snowing in Space, but I got Snowing in Space Nom Nom (Dark roast) at Union Grocery after the chaos with Compass Coffee (sad). Mayorga is my favorite, it’s very good. They have a few blends and all hit it out of the park. The trick is finding the one that is perfect for you.

I like Rustic Route coffee. Local women owned shop. You can pick size - small medium, large. You can also pick whole beans or ground. Also have subscriptions. Free shipping to MOCO. I found it by accident when I was googling looking for places that sold fresh roasted beans in smaller quantities. Feels good to support a local business.

Personally, I like to keep it simple and go with instant. My favorite is DeLallo Instant Espresso, but because I’m cheap I generally drink Aldi’s store brand instant.

If you use more of a medium roast coffee, it turns out bitter. Good strong coffee has to be darkly roasted.
