I’m always baffled by the Dcumlandia Faux-activists who pontificate about DEI and equality in the USA but brag about their vacations to places like Dubai where human rights simply aren’t “a thing.”


The point is, neither place is great. Human rights aren’t really a thing in the USA either. We treat immigrants despicably. So there’s really no difference whether you go to Vegas or Dubai honestly.


DP. They both suck, but one takes a whole lot more jet fuel to get to. Enjoy your indoor ski resort (in the desert)? It’s so problematic, I don’t even know where to start.

Most travel insurances don't cover acts of war or political unrest; are you able to cancel the hotel or contact them and ask to cancel given the situation? same with the airline. Good luck.

We've been to Dubai and had fun for a couple of days, its over the top but the people were really friendly; its an interesting place IMO.
