I was thinking this, too. Solid color jumpsuit with flat sandals.

My 7yo dress hating daughter has surprised me recently with her willingness to wear dresses on special occasions as long as she was part of choosing them. I picked several options I thought would be comfy and then she chose the ones to order (and we returned the rejects). I’ve been floored with how successful it was.

Jumpsuit. Minnie also like to wear velvet or velour pants with a top or sweater.

Following this thread bc my 5 year old doesnt likes dresses and wants a "suit" for dressy occasions. She sees me wear a suit to work so she views it as acceptable women's formal attire.

The velvet one is what my dress hating daughter wore for fancy occasions. Now she’ll wear black slacks and a nice top. All with Mary Jane style leather shoes.

OP’s daughter is just 7 and still has some little kid wiggle room for formal occasions. Googling “girls dressy romper jumpsuit” should give a range of options.

I'm an adult with sensory issues who still occasionally needs to look decent for fancy occasions. I am a huge fan of the sweater dress with tights in the winter months. If done correctly it can feel comfy and cozy and okay.

In the summer months, perhaps you could find her something like a t-shirt dress? If it's the binding, pinching, itchy, scratchy fabrics that she is objecting to, those are my suggestions.
