Yup. My kid is in a forced triple at UCLA. It' so small and cramped. Fortunately, he really likes his roommates and doesn't have a lot of stuff because they give them so little drawer and closet space. If they needed bulky winter jackets and snow boots, I don't know what they would do.

DC is a current freshman at WashU with a single room in a suite of 4. Two full bathrooms in the suite, with weekly cleaning by mgmt. Nice building with all amenities (think newer Hampton Inns), including a gym, shops, high-tech food vending machines and a cavernous dining hall within 3 minutes walk. Starting 2025, all frosh and sophomores are required to stay on campus in a custom build residential area (South 40). Tempurpedic matresses are indeed better; all in pristine condition. Great RA and support structure; love the suitemates. Ranked 1st by Princeton Review for Best College Dorms and Best Quality of Life. Ranked 1st by Niche for Best College Dorms in America. WashU solved its last 2 years main complaint from students: rising food prices and small portions (tasty, but hungry students need more calories). It now provides an option for "all you can eat" dinner (with rotating menu, including delicious ethnic foods) for around $11. Couldn't be happier.

There needs to be some reason to go to college in Missouri. The counter balance is dorms.

yep they will spend a lotta time there so they better have those comfy mattresses.

And filled with former hospital germs? Or did they completely tear down the place before the dorms?

lol. How long do you think those germs could stick around while it was under renovation?
Germs from years ago still there?

Who knows what type of chemicals are still around? Don't go crazy thinking tho.

Alabama
VCU has singles for honors college students but can’t remember if they’re suite-style
