Honestly, I don't think the CEO could have done anything about the shooting, so I'm not bothered that he wasn't on site. They're not supposed to be full-time at any one location anyway. Whether he was at another school or at Starbucks doesn't matter to me.
But I find the cross-stories really weird, and the failure to acknowledge them by MCPS even weirder. If the Lakewood principal has affirmatively stated the CEO wasn't there, then MCPS needs to acknowledge that statement is out there and address it - maybe principal is crazy, maybe there's some innocuous explanation, maybe (probably not) there's a sinister explanation, but for MCPS to just ignore it and pretend the principal never said it is really, really weird. It definitely makes what was probably a non-story look suspicious.
If he told MCPS he was at Lakewood when he was actually at Starbucks that does matter though.

Which is why we need SROs, who are designated to a specific school and walk the halls. A criminal is less likely to commit a crime when the police are around. Could this shooting have been prevent if an SRO was there? We will never know.

I haven't seen it and even the reporter used the word "apparently." If a written contradiciton from the Lakewood principal existed, and decent reporter would have had it.
From the principal's letter:
"Regarding the second concern, there were no incidents at Lakewood Elementary School that required the presence of a Community Engagement Officer. Had there been any such situation, I would have communicated that information promptly in my update yesterday."
Boom. Send this principal’s letter to the media.
It was sent.
That’s why the media started looking into this.
As mentioned earlier, when that Fox article came out, Lakewood principal had a meeting w Lakewood staff. She said the footage shows officer was at Lakewood for 45 seconds around 1:30 PM. He did a circle around bus loop, didn’t even get out and drove off.
That’s a 45 minute gap between being at Lakewood and the shooting.
He wasn’t there during time of shootings.
Stop lying.
MCPS needs to be accountable.
This seems like a Rockville PD problem more than an MCPS problem.

I called Rockville PD to ask as a citizen.
They said no dashboard camera or body camera. The “only” proof that the officer is at Lakewood at time of shooting is the officer log, which it’s just what the officer writes down.
Lakewood principal, on the other hand, has maintained from very beginning that officer was NOT Lakewood at time of incident. He appears on footage for 45 seconds at ~1:30 PM doing a loop in the bus lane in his car. Never gets out. Literally left the school campus in under a minute. That is a 45 minute gap.
The stuff the police are saying is bs.
Ask any Lakewood parent.
I pick up my kiddo everyday.
1) this officer never ever (and I literally mean never ever) helps with Lakewood dismissal.
2) Lakewood dismissal is also at 3:25 not 2:15 (aka time of shooting)
3) the whole bus lane issue is also bs. Principal has no idea what issue he’s talking about, there aren’t buses at that time. No one called this officer to Lakewood.
4) Not to mention the Lakewood carpool lane where parents go to pick up kid is on the whole other side of the building next to the parking lot. No Lakewood parent drives to the bus lane to pick up kids.
“if it smells like a cover-up and it looks like a cover-up, it’s a cover-up.”
Sure smells and looks like one.
Lakewood footage doesn’t lie.
MCPS, including Dr. Taylor, have known about these inconsistencies since the day after the shooting. It’s been a week and still nothing from Dr. Taylor.
Media must make them answer.
What, exactly, are you insinuating, Mad Mommy of MoCo?
Are you illiterate?
That’s there’s a cover up?
Cover up *of what.*
You're beyond ridiculous. Stop with the Nancy Drew bullshit and the conspiracy theories already, dipshit. It's beyond offensive.
It could be a number of things:
1. Evidence that the CEO is not, in fact, always assigned to the cluster and was in fact doing other work outside of the cluster. (This might have been at the direction of Rockville PD higher ups, hence why the police chief is doubling down).
2. Evidence that the CEO was goofing off when he was supposed to be working.
Either way, he was not where he said he was and he was not where he was supposed to be. That is a serious problem.

OP they only turn on their body cams when directly interacting with a citizen/member of the public. The dash cam only comes on when they’re driving at a certain speed.
The log that he was there is not “ written down” it’s a computer log. Their MDTs in their cars have GPS.
But you keep making stuff up. You are all awful.
Why does the footage show something than the actual story?
