Cities are better off without sports teams that glorify violence and foster a modern day plantation mentality.

this is what One Party Rule and high taxes gets you. Sooner or later you run out of others people money
Mandami and NYC is next
Don’t know Chicago that well, but New Yorkers are hoping the billionaires will follow through on their promises to leave NYC ASAP. They’ve ruined the city. Can’t wait to see them go. But in all likelihood they won’t.
But if they go, there will be an even bigger deficit than now. Mamdani's budget proposal is crazy. They are quickly spiraling back to the 70s and early 80s when they nearly went bankrupt and were a hell hole of crime and trash.

I'm so confused, so.thr City and state should have hiked taxes and subsidized a stadium for billionaires?
Then people like you would have complained about Chicago and IL raising taxes. You're not serious.
What this poster said. Indiana is offering $2b towards a new stadium - where do you think that money comes from? It’s also incredibly dumb - can’t imagine who is going to drive there. Tons of bears fan that have the money to actually go to the game are in the northwest/north suburbs. No one will be going to Hammond from there.
OP is not a serious person and does not have critical thinking skills, she just wants to complain and feel superior to people she looks down on. OP is the exact person that George Carlin summoned to mind when he said “think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.”

Nah, Indiana is basically giving them the land and a billion dollars in subsidies. This has nothing to do with democratic policies.
NFL owners are the real welfare queens. They despise taxes, yet have no problem getting the public to pay for their stadiums. And we, the morons, do nothing about it.
The owners are just behaving rationally. The blame lies with the local and state governments that give them the $$.
