All kinds of things are "illegal," and yet they happen if there is money to be made.

These calls are not for UMC, educated career women in DC.

They are for my grandparents in rural Pennsylvania who have diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure and yet continue to think fast food is acceptable to eat every day.

I am not shaming them; I love them, but it is worrisome to hear when my grandma's first meal after visiting the ER for chest pains, for example, is a cheeseburger.

Anyway that's who it's for.

This reminds me of when I attended a coaching call as part of Novo's coaching program for people losing weight on Wegovy.

The coach running the call had a set program about "temptations" and managing them. There were three of us on the call, and all of us had been slammed by the medication to the extent that we could barely eat and needed help figuring out what best to eat to get all nutrients in when we didn't feel like eating. We let her know that in the chat. Every last one of us. And she said "Great to know!" and carried on rambling at us about how to avoid donuts and chips that none of us felt remotely inclined to eat. And the coach was clearly way out of her depth and had no ability to do anything but stick to the script.

A lot of these programs, in order to be financially feasible, tend to hold group coaching sessions that are focused on a topic that may or may not apply to anyone on the call. Total waste of time unless you luck out and wanted to hear about the topic.
