Their course offerings will be very limited foe the first few years unless they are getting special financial treatment.

Robotics and AI can start almost immediately. They seem to think the aviation will be up and running for the current group of students.
Don't they have to follow a detailed process before a course can be offered for credit within FCPS and count towards an advanced diploma?

There is an open house on Saturday for people still on the fence. The email to the kids who opted in said that the remainder of the seats would be open to kids outside of the original 5 pyramids.
I keep hoping they release what number of kids opted in from what ES block. We know someone told the SLHS PTA that 45 kids had opted in from SLHS for the 9th grade class. I would be interested in knowing how many kids opted in from the specific ES but that is because I am curious. The fact that 700 kids opted in with the lack of boundaries and lack of sports next year is, in my mind, impressive. But that is my take on it.
I don't think there is going to be much of a problem getting the 9th grade class to 500, we'll see about the 10th graders.
They sent an email today saying "nearly 650 students" have signed up. That's not 700.

What makes you think they won't get grandfathered into Langley? There is a sizeable number of kids who transfer from Westfield to Langley using the Russian loophole.

Odd since the FAQs at this link just say kids from five pyramids can opt in and the deadline expired. Sounds like they want more kids but don’t
I to admit they couldn’t fill their classes with kids from the schools they were saying were overcrowded.
