I would say yes, and I'm somewhat reclusive.

I would say yes but all need to come already showered so all they are doing is changing clothes.

They aren’t going to all take showers—please. They will shower at home or thee their hotel. They will probably need to change shirts, tie ties, watch tv, and drink a beer.

I would totally say yes to this unless they were the kind of group that plans to get drunk before they walk down the aisle. That said, I do think it is weird they don’t have hotel rooms to do this in.

If I don't know them, they're strangers to me. If it's just BIL it's 1 bathroom. If it's 6 guys, then Op has to clean 2 or 3 bathrooms, and they have to go to and down the hall possibly in a state of undress. Hard pass.

You're totally unreasonable. Men only take like 15 min to get ready. They will likely just watch sports/tv in your family room with a few beers. This seems like a very small ask.

Get a platter of bagels or sandwiches, depending on time of day. Bags of chips, some beer, and access to some big mirrors. Either have the kids play butler ("Uncle Eric, do you need any more potato chips?") or take them out to the park and bring them back for the big reveal. A bunch of men all dressed up, getting into a big hired car, is going to look really cool to them.

Great post! I wouldn’t dream of saying no, and I love the ideas here.

One of my son’s college teammates got married around here a couple of years ago, and we hosted 6 others the day of and night before (granted we have plenty of space for this). It was really fun to have them all around. One practical note: their shirts were wrinkled from travel, so we had to set up an ironing/clothes steaming station, and my DH had to help most of them with their ties. The latter presumably would not be an issue for most guys past the young adult stage.

Sure op say no if you want to damage your relationship with your Bil and new sil forever.

I’d get the hotel room for me and the kids. let the guys come over and do their thing where I don’t have to be

Wow they are cheap. It’s a wedding. They need to rent another hotel room.

I would feel like you, op, but then I would do it and realize it's not that big a deal and I was stressing based on my own standards for how my home should be, not anyone else's.

How much primping are you expecting? I'm guessing on our wedding day my husband probably didn't spend more than...30 minutes? 60 Max. It's not like there was hair and makeup. Shoes were already shined, tux ready to go.

Are they going on a hike or playing football in the morning and going to be dirty and sweaty and need full showers? Then just make it clear how much bathroom space they need and maybe suggest they wash up elsewhere. But if they mainly need to change clothes, sure that should be fine.
