I love fashion and people comment on my shoes and clothes often. I don't really notice others unless it's a shoe I admire. And when I had plantar fasciitis I had to wear comfortable shoe so I get peoples pain in footwear.

Never notice shoes. And never care really. If you’re happy and comfortable and having fun, what more can you ask for? If some other lady wants to spend their life in the negativity they create around other people’s shoes, then ok- not your choice and just be glad you aren’t them.

Dancing- just go for tennis shoes or fit flops.

I always notice. I hate to see a woman wearing a beautiful dress and beat up shoes.

I would only notice “noticeable” shoes. If you wore sneakers, cowboy boots, fuzzy bunny slippers, etc., I’d notice. If they were coated in mud and falling apart, I’d notice. If they were exceptionally fabulous (which doesn’t mean expensive), I’d notice them and compliment you.

Boring would never register. I’d expect most people, including myself, to be wearing boring shoes.

At a wedding yes, otherwise no unless it's very cold and I see women wearing shoes with no socks and part of their foot revealed and I have no idea how they can stand it.

I notice good shoes, not bad shoes.

I love shoes but I mostly notice others' shoes when they're in bad shape or the wrong choice for what they're wearing. But even then I don't judge them or really care.

yes, I do. I am a man and another man's crappy shoes are always noticeable.

It's the first thing you notice if you’re European.

I have noticed shoes since I was a child. Shoes tell me everything I need to know about a person. Shoes are very, very important.

If you look at my shoes, you can see that I'm a middle class person. I buy my shoes mostly at TJMaxx and Nordstrom Rack. They are pleasant mid-level brands, nothing fancy, but not cheap either. Look at my shoes, and you can see who I am and where I came from.

My best friend, OTOH, wears very high-end brands that she buys in boutiques. She spends about 10 times what I do on a single pair of shoes. She's from a Boston Brahmin family, quite wealthy, beautiful homes, exquisite taste. You can see that she's from a different social class than I am just by looking at her shoes. I suppose I could try to emulate her by buying the brands of shoes she does, but I don't think I'd fool anyone. I'm solidly middle class, and I'm fine with that. Just look at my shoes.

OP, go out and buy a nice pair of shoes for the wedding. Don't wear anything shabby. Someone like me will notice.

I do not notice shoes, but I do think it’s a pretty objective truth that a bit of heel is more flattering for most women. So I will subconsciously likely notice that someone in heels looks better than flats. But it’s not because im actively looking at their shoes

I always notice and people always notice mine and comment on them. But I don’t judge. I just happen to love shoes. I think you should wear what will make you feel great, whether it be your comfortable shoes or something new that you buy.
