We are fighting back by finding new trade partners, boycotting US tourism, boycotting US autos, avoiding US consumer products. We are doing what we can to resist.


I’d be wary of China as a trade partner. Out of the frying pan into the fire on that. The rest I can understand.


The United States does tons of trade with China. Almost every manufactured good in the US has at least one component or input made in China.

Obviously Johnson thinks that Putin will kill his wife, his kids and him if he resists. And that might be true.

But, if he lets the country become a full, uncloaked dictatorship, Putin will kill him and his loved ones anyway. He might as well stand up, let the kompromat about him come out and try to do the right thing.

They may just take up becoming the 51-61 states adding 10 senators and 57 congressmen. These would all be left of the current democrats. This would eliminate any chance of republicans winning the presidency, house or senate.

Matthew Moroun is a Detroit-based trucking magnate whose family has operated the Ambassador Bridge between Detroit and Windsor, Ontario, for decades. He met on Monday with Mr. Lutnick in Washington, according to two officials briefed on the meeting who requested anonymity to discuss a private conversation.

After that meeting Mr. Lutnick spoke with Mr. Trump by phone about the matter, the officials said.
