I would add, we feel Hawaii for a tropical island is falsely advertised as a 'hang loose' island-time destination. Hawaii has the most uptight vibe we've experienced in that environment. Yes, Hawaii is hang loose compared to Cleveland, or DC; compared to other island-time destinations, it feels like just another US state, which it is. (Admittedly our experience there is remote working while exploring for several weeks a time, not lounging at a resort. I will say the drivers are nice - excluding the road to Hana.)

Again, Hawaii is special and you should see it at least once.

Me too. Canada is gorgeous. Just don’t spend more than a day or two in either Montreal or Quebec City. Not necessary. British Columbia, Nova Scotia or somewhere more scenic would be ideal.

Nova Scotia is so peaceful. We flew to Halifax and drove to the Southern coast in Yarmouth. It’s beautiful especially if you’re an outdoor person.

Peru is cheap, as is Brazil.

I just got a flight to Milan for late march fo just over $500

I'd also love to know. I've been 6 times and lived in Latin America for over a decade and it is one of my least favorite countries.

Ireland sometimes has less expensive flights.

I can't remember the price, but we jumped on some Lisbon flights that were pretty cheap a couple of years back. Once we were there, the lodging, food, and activities were all pretty reasonable. Took a train up to Porto for a few days. Had a great time.

I regularly go to Brazil. There is much more than Rio and Sao Paulo with a quick trip to see either Salvador or Iguaçu.

Fist bump guys! We only went to Hawaii once but stayed 5 nights at Grand Hyatt Kauai and 1 week in Oahu and it was fabulous!
