Hunters?
WTF? No one hunts deer in the close-in suburbs around here!
Hunting season ended TWO MONTHS ago in the places where deer are hunted.
You sound like you’re just making things up, assuming no one will know better or call you out on your lies.

We need a 90+% reduction in the deer population. They are overgrazing our forests and enabling invasive plants to take over.
They are indigenous animals. We are invasive.
The deer came over the Bering Land Bridge just like humans did.

Go move somewhere else then. In our current society they are doing a ton of harm. They also don't have the natural predators thanks to our invasiveness and have been allowed to grow out of control. You have to pick one or the other right now and I'm picking humans over deer.

Anonymous wrote:It has now been a couple of weeks since I last saw a deer. My drive to work would typically have me going past the mangled remains of a deer a few times a week. If not a carcass then I’d often see them at the side of the road or running out in front of me. I guess I’m just unsure. Do they hibernate when it gets this cold, or just stay in the woods?
