Wow these threads sure bring out the idiotic comments. Thank you poster who doesn’t even know where the schools are.

Why don't YOU enroll at PBA palm beach atlantic private 4 year across the beach from your fav prez.?

The nearest school the OP listed is 2.5 hours away which is why it’s an idiotic comment. We all know maralago is in Florida.

It’s a great school. Diverse, hard workings kids. Lots of clubs to join.

It has a highly ranked pharmacy school. Is there a 2+4 program there? Thanks.

No, that would be USF. University of Tampa is mostly OOS students from the Northeast.

There's also UNF but maybe it's too far north (north of UF) to be considered in the UC-type name change.

University of North Florida Jacksonville. Public. Bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees offered.

Florida State College at Jacksonville. Public. Associate and baccalaureate degrees. multiple campuses throughout Jacksonville.

U. Tampa has a huge Latino population and it’s common to hear Spanish all over campus. There is a decent sized Afro-Caribbean cohort as well, and a mix of just everyone else too.

It’s a serious learning environment but also a fun place to go to school.

Florida resident here. You’re confusing USF (located in Tampa) with the University of Tampa. U Tampa is overwhelmingly white (lots from NY/NJ) with very few Hispanics or Blacks.

They should really rename USF as it's nowhere near South Florida.

People would think Univ of SFL is in Miami.

Forida International University (FIU) is in Miami.

University of Miami (UM) private

Florida Memorial University

Two of my nieces that grew up in Florida went to UF (for free) and got decent educations. The one that went into medicine said that she encountered a lot of racism among the staff and professors in the medical school, but the undergrad education was fine.

A nephew's girlfriend goes to South Florida. She is having a grand old time partying and getting As with minimum effort.
