Also waiting for this program. Any idea how many kids were at the audition last week? 10 the first day so similar the second? They didn’t tell us on the 11th how many they may accept. Looks like last year it was 18 matches for 33 avail seats. Year before was 21 for 33 seats. But not sure what, if anything, that means for this year.

The order: Audition then callbacks then quite a bit later, family interviews. Then a decision. Family interviews are still part of the audition fyi.
Maybe things have changed, I have a senior now, but when my DD was applying if you got to the family interview that is really about making sure the student and family understand the level of commitment required and the very long day. Assuming no surprises that is a very good sign.
Good luck all, DESA is not perfect but it has been a great fit for my student.
That may have been your perception, but while the family interview may focus on commitment, etc, you need to know that you are absolutely not in because you got a family interview and that it can absolutely also be a dealbreaker. Tell your kid especially not to sit there and let parents do all the talking.

Yes. Initial interview and then an arts block visit so far.
You mean the afternoon workshop? But no news after that?
