Honors College -
• Generally a 4 year program but length depends on which sub community students choose/are placed in.
• 8 sub-communities– students preference based on interest - details will be sent on this process after admission. (

College Park Scholars -
• Generally a 2 year program
• 13 sub-communities– students preference based on interest (including the reimagining of the former CIVICUS LLP) -

• Primarily housed in the Cambridge Community - all halls: Bel Air, Cambridge, Centreville, Chestertown, Cumberland

FIRE -
• Generally a 1.5 year (3 semester program)

• Focuses on engaging new students in a faculty-mentored research experience

• No specific housing/residence halls

BioFIRE -
• Part of the FIRE Community (see above) but with a biological sciences focus and living component.

Carillon Communities-
• Generally a 1 year program with course requirements completed in the first semester
• Focus on answering “big questions” through teamwork and creative problem solving
