- beauty is the eye of the beholder 😆 the right person will love it as we did! We searched for 2 years for a house on this street - modern + walk to Del Ray + George Mason Elementary + close to Shirlington. No lights to DC!
- bamboo is the neighbors and FULLY controlled. He did battle with it on three sides of his house - we left this small patch for privacy and it’s tightly managed
- in 2024 we went under contract on a too expensive house. When we couldn’t sell quickly we pulled the deal and stayed put until we found our next home
- house had structural work under last owner with a bad contractor. We just put in $40K to fix it for good and get a 20 year warranty for the next owner.
We raised two kids here and are sad to leave, but it’s ready for the next family to enjoy!
Pretty cool to see an owner respond. I like that street and neighborhood. It’s totally fine if you don’t want to answer, especially in a public forum, but if you’re sad to leave, why leave?

It’s a nice neighborhood, and good to see a non-cookie cutter house.

Will miss the incredible views, natural light, awesome neighbors, and super easy parking! Yard was amazing when kids were small (was a hillside of mulch when we bought, had it terraced and turfed) but they grew up and we have whatever the opposite of a green thumb is (red thumb?).
Sorry but not having a driveway or garage is NOT super easy parking. It's a pain getting small kids in and out of the car. Plus bringing in groceries.

Ok...here's the point where the thread will devolve into Del Ray-adjacent haters arguing there are maurauding bands of criminals crawling over the entire neighborhood.
But, ok, I'll bite. Why do you feel the neighborhood is "not safe"?
