Virginia Tech. Lots of people from Northern Virginia which I don't consider Southern plus people from out of state. Solid business school. Lots of school spirit.

Davidson more woke-friendly than people here might think. Sporty but not Michigan sporty!

Wisconsin and Michgan are going to be your best bets in terms of combination of "vibe" academics and sports/spirit and greek life.

Others have given good advice on relative comparables. The main thing is to make sure you do in person visits with a registered tour to show demonstrated interest and let the regional reps for each as well as hour school's college guidance counselor know these are your top choices (if true)

for Michigan, if top choice, apply ED and for Wisconsin, unless anything changes, apply EA.

Just for what it is worth, my family has alumni from both schools and I tend to agree there are not many others that have the combination at a top level.

Georgetown may be appealing, or how about UVA?

If she's aiming for places like Michigan or UCLA, Boulder would be a safety. It's got plenty of woke kids. The school is way more party and less academic than those above, but she could find her place.

I think Kelley is the best business program than standard strong students can actually get into. IU is very progressive (dont listen to DCUM on this), has Greek like, and hard to beat the sports!

Indiana is more progressive than Michigan, which is plenty woke - assuming you're looking at just student body and not state (which you should at these giant colleges)

How about Pitt? I like the suggestion of UMass Amherst.

are you confusing Indiana the state with IU? IU students vote over 80% democratic in most elections including trump v Biden.
