Hint: most of these schools don’t make the decision entirely on their own. Peer schools check in with one another and form a consensus. Closing for Monday is a no-brainer. But as the week goes on and reopening becomes a consideration, the school administrations will be talking to one another before making announcements.
So why were Big 3 schools like STA and NCS so far ahead of lesser institutions in their timing? Checkmate.
