There's one poster who posts on the relationship threads; anytime an OP complains about their partner yelling at them or treating them badly, they always say "Oh, like you're perfect?" and encourages women to stay with their abusive partners. It's so sad, because they've admitted that they are being abused at home as well (and also dish out their own), but any comments towards women deserving a safe, loving partner are immediately dismissed. These type of people are hurting, and it seems to make them feel better to think other people are hurting in the same way.

There are many times when I think this about people's posts. I think several of these people are basement bros and extremely unhappy, bit*chy women. I think they are miserable people in real life with no friends, so they want to make others miserable.
Or… this board is frequented by people who are so far up their own @$$ that it’s cathartic to put them in their place (since we can’t do it in real life).
News flash you are putting no one in their place! It’s too easy to write off triggers a-holes - especially when you envision them as ‘300lb, poorly mannered, and friendless’ - not the people I associate with - so I can’t take them seriously

If someone says something some one deems stupid you have to hold your tongue, well your fingers. It would be refreshing. Women being positive to each other we need more of that in this world.

This. And I always envision them to be 300lbs, poorly mannered, and friendless.
Ah yes, why can’t more posts reflect this poster’s genuine compassion and kindness? Why is it that, as PP has surmised, it’s always the overweight lonely people who are rude?
Ah DCUM, never change, never become self-aware.
