Great to hear! We were also happy that DS liked it so much - we live in walking distance, lol. DH and I have lived here for 25 years, the AU campus has drastically improved in that time - beautiful landscaping, new buildings, the outdoors on campus areas are beautiful. And the Honors program sounds great, there is already a faculty person's name in the acceptance letter who will be reaching out in 1-2 weeks to introduce honors.
My kid was accepted at American with merit 2 years ago. We really liked the area and campus when we toured. It wasn’t high on their list in the beginning, but after we visited, it moved way up. They had a hard time turning down American when the acceptance came! Too bad one can only attend one college at a time.

DS is in! Dean's Scholarship $8k + Honors College. AU grant of $37,900.
What is a D's scholarship and do you apply for it?
DS applied to Honors program because you are automatically considered for additional scholarships when you apply to Honors program (Dean's Scholarship, Presidential, and another one). These aren't tied to income.
