Some of the data is definitely wrong. I worked at HUD as an attorney and there weren’t 2,960 people working in the Office of General Counsel as they claim. It was more like 600 at the beginning of the Trump administration. I understand that about 40% of HUD OGC people quit by the end of the second round.

A lot of those were early retirements, buyouts and resignations.
That can lead to losing the best and most experienced people, leaving the ones without experience or other options.
