A few high achieving students from DD's public HS (New England region) have gone there.
The science facilities are great for a college of their size and they're building additional facilities opening in 2027 (?).
It's appealing to DD for the science and engineering programs, but with a liberal arts focus. She also likes the 3 classes per term, though I believe they're in school more/longer than traditional semester-based colleges.
I think the town has an Amtrak stop, which is convenient from NYC. It's also in the tri-city region, including Albany, which I would expect is helpful for internships.
From what we were told, the schools in their sports conference are all within a 3 hour drive of Schenectady, so theoretically less time out of class for student athletes.
She's interested in other schools mentioned in this thread - Rochester, Lehigh, etc.
