OP here — not that I need to clarify buuut….on a couple points, I will
Not sure where anyone saw that we have a SN child. We do not 🤦🏻♀️
We have a will, and plenty saved for college and retirement, but can’t we always save more?? That was my point. And that I don’t want to go blowing $10K on a party or a trip.
How old I was when I gave birth is none of your freaking business.
Thx to all who gave helpful comments.

You think you have the money to plan these things to fête yourself, but you kind of just said you actually don’t.
When did you even give birth, in your mid-40s?
For someone who is basically considering planning a small wedding for your birthday at your age, shouldn’t you already have healthy 529s for your children in the background?
If you are still “saving for college and retirement” then you don’t actually have the money you want to say you do for stupid stuff like “yay me” parties.
Anonymous wrote:Sounds like you should be saving money for your 60th. Might I kindly suggest having a nice home made meal? Roast chicken, roasted veg, a loaf of home made bread and home made brownies for dessert.
Anonymous wrote:What do you like to do? I would plan a hiking trip in Switzerland or Italy and use that as inspiration to make sure I am in shape enough but maybe that’s not your jam?
