Look at the average scores of whites and Asians at Harvard compared to other races. It seems that white and Asian students have a higher bar for acceptance.

Government funded institutions should represent the society that pays for them. We know there is cultural and economic bias in standardized tests. Students have more to offer beyond grades and test scores. Colleges should recognize this and aim for diversity, not just people who can pay $7-$30k on private college advising.
No, it shouldn't. It should reflect the applicant pool, not the general population.
Also, most people are fine with income based diversity, but not race based diversity. There's no reason a brown/black kid from a well to do family with two parent lawyers should get a leg up over an Asian American kid whose parents are immigrants who barely speak English.

Asians have the higher bar. Without white DEI, most whites couldn't compete head to head with Asians on almost every objective admissions metric.

I'm surprised they haven't figured out yet that at some selective institutions, their kids won't be competing with Blacks and Hispanics or even Whites for precious slots, but with Asians.
*Johns Hopkins University: The share of Asian American freshmen rose from 25.6% in 2023 to 45.1% by early 2026.
*Harvard University: Asian American enrollment reached 41% in late 2025, up from approximately 30% in the class admitted before the ruling.
*Columbia University: Enrollment rose by 9 percentage points for the first class after the ruling.
*MIT: Reported a 7 percentage point increase, with Asian American students making up nearly half of the incoming 2024–2025 class.
Everyone knows this, but some of us still oppose racial discrimination.
If Asian kids work hard and succeed, good for them. If other kids want to coast through their education, there are plenty of second and third tier schools.

2024 Trump got more male Black votes than ever before. So yes, I do blame them.
