I’m 51 and think her look is stylish, interesting and sophisticated. I think she seems reserved. I’m curious about her as an artist as it is rare for anyone to be a full time working artist at 28. Good for her! I love her haircut and statement coat. The Cut shoot’s cover clothing not as much.

I am an absolute superfan of Mira Nair. I have loved her movies since around 2000 with Monsoon Wedding. My parents lived and worked in India for several years before I was born and the culture is heavily implanted on me despite not being Indian. I had no idea that she was Mamdani’s mom until a few months ago!

I like her style and hope to see more of her.

If you find weird expressions in boxy dresses stunning. Call a spade a spade. The cut photoshoot did her no favors and she is very awkward. There are many other fashionable 20 somethings in Bob cuts who can pull it off better than she can.

To be fair, I said she has a bad haircut and I'm not a geezer, I'm 32. I think she's quite striking looking and I loved her coat. But I just think the choppy bob looks incomplete on her. She doesn't need long extensions, though.

And for the record, I believe she's Syrian or Lebanese. Not every brown person from the middle east is palestinian.

I think she looks unique, stylish, and lovely, especially for a 28 yo. Cute haircut. And I am Gen X.
