Belushi and many others in the cast thought he was the star, but Chase and the viewing public clearly disagreed. He was never an insider in that group, and he was older. Agree with those who say he is clearly neurodivergent. What’s funny is that Dan Akroyd identifies as autistic as well, but seems not to have had the same interpersonal challenges.

I'm confused: who was older, Chase or Belushi? Belushi thought he was the star?

Chase was older. When Belushi was cast, both he and his friends thought he would be the star, but in that first season it turned out that Chase, more classically handsome and with an even bigger ego, was instead.

Thank you. Interesting.

I have a very good friend who is in the movie media business who has interviewed literally everyone you could ever imagine. Her top three nicest celebs she's interviewed: David Hasselhoff, Woodie Harrelson and Bill Murray (and she's interviewed him several times).

So you're saying professional actors know when to act professional, got it.

Salty. Hope you’re day gets better.

I watched the CNN special last night. Chevy had some talent when he was younger. He is old, angry, and unfunny now.

I am old. I found reading about his abusive childhood bizarre. I knew his mom--not well, but I knew her. She was a receptionist at a large Manhattan law firm where I also worked when Chevy was on SNL. She always seemed like a very nice woman.

I've never even seen anything he's in purposely, and STILL have known his reputation since the 90's.
