No, my one set of living grandparents did not sleep in the same room nor bed. They were both born one in the 1890s and the other in early 1900s. I never thought twice about it either. The comments on the video confirmed many households had this setup.

One of my grandparents (Mom's dad) was deceased before I was born, so this is only for my dad's parents. They were born in the US in the early 1900s. Their parents AND grandparents were born in the US, as well (i.e., my grandparents were not immigrants). They were white folks with Scottish heritage.
In the 70s-80s, they slept in different bedrooms, even on different floors (but this was probably due to the layout of the house). I always thought it was strange. I did not ask anyone why that was the case. I just assumed someone snored. I knew my dad had been conceived somehow...
