Don’t think so. I had already heard of Elsie because of her abuse allegations against Ryan Phillipe. (I know someone who dated Ryan and I’m inclined to believe Elsie).

I’m not sure that it was some golden opportunity but Pete probably love bombed her. A hallmark of BPD is splitting. Where they view romantic partners/loved ones as amazing/wonderful/perfect one minute and then when there is some minor disagreement etc then they view the other person as the devil incarnate. It’s the same pattern he had with Ariana where he moved super fast to engagement and then she dumped him.

And a tattoo does not make someone a good dad be serious. For BPD people to be good parents it takes a LOT of work and he already failed at the first step which was not having a kid in an unstable situation. It does seem like Elsie is exaggerating a bit in terms of the financial piece but notice Pete doesn’t seem to really be refuting that he isn’t currently a present parent.

And she is in such a tough spot. It doesn't seem that she has much help or family nearby and someone needs to be there 100% for this little baby. He's an ugly, mentally ill drug addict who couldn't be bothered to wrap it up with a one night stand star F'er. I have no idea why you would think this would play out any differently than it has.
