When he received his suite assignment in June, one room was left empty (which was eventually filled by the two WL students)
Kids definitely get in after deferral and WL.
That particular building must have been where the kids were assigned at the very end. Because that is not typical. My DS is in an old dorm this year and he has met a total of one person on his floor who got in off the waitlist.
If you aren’t a current parent, you wouldn’t know this, but there’s really no conspiracy here.
So if you are in from the waitlist, the housing is all equally distributed among ED, EA , Deferred and waitlist?

It would be really helpful to know if your kid was in state or OOS and what the "top 20s" are. You don't have to say which, but being this coy is just so unnecessary and unhelpful.

My kid also has all As with maximum rigor senior fall and got the waitlist after deferral, I don’t think you can do one specific thing and then be admitted after deferral.
Did he get in after the waitlist?
She did not.
