So if you are in from the waitlist, the housing is all equally distributed among ED, EA , Deferred and waitlist?


Dp, but would expect that they start working on housing months before it is announced in July.

I feel like that's not something many kids would be thrilled to admit to, only the most confident and/or non-competitive.

I know a deferred kid last year who had very good grades/scores and did everything they could to get in (sending in grades all year--all As, sending in a rec from from a person prominent at UVA, etc) and nothing worked. They were never admitted.

Last year had a 3% deferral admit rate when it was all said and done. I would encourage your child to move on, fall in love with another school. If the 3% odds end up being in your favor, that would be a wonderful surprise, but I sure wouldn’t hold out for that.

If UVA deferral goes onto waitlist… that waitlist decision comes after admission deposit deadline of other colleges kid applied to and accepted.
Then, if they still want to go to UVA, they must lose the deposit money they paid elsewhere.

This truly is a lose lose game.

Umm, I said in my post that he was in-state.

Admitted to Michigan engineering and another private T20.

Adding this was not last year. I would not expect the same amount of wait list movement as last year.
