Oh I really related to them as well. Really good depiction of a largely functional marriage that loses romance and passion after a couple decades together and both people dealing with normal midlife stuff, but also shows why two such people would choose to work through it and stay together rather than get divorced (or have an open marriage, as one of the other couples on the show has). It felt realistic and compassionate and also sort of a quiet defense of what the vast majority of marriages look like once you're in your 50s and have mostly raised your kids.

Lol I still remember the scene where she is shaving her husbands back at the kitchen table and Malcolm is so grossed out. My husband and I are like that in that I’m always popping his back pimples for him and he rubs cream on my feet. Growing OLD together. I hope I’m not as angry as she always is though. He left her with all the mental load.

Um, rightly so. There are things you shouldn't do at the table. Shaving your husband's back is one of them.
