Now they are exploring a possible Iranian connection.

Federal law enforcement doesn't police residential areas.

Are you living in a cave? Under this administration, they do. They shouldn't be, but they are. Guess Trump needs to send them to Brookline.

You can't argue both sides. Either the federal agents are being pulled away and making us less safe, or they are policing residential areas which increases their presence. Which is it?

That person wasn’t me. I’m the line who posted about the decline in attention to terrorism. I wasn’t talking about policing. I was talking about anti-terrorism efforts in case this proves to be antisemitic attack like OP and others alleged.

I am Jewish and I deeply resent it too.

After taking a few good breaths and looking at the night sky - probably good to do that before attempting to figure out how to move a mountain.

Why are you waiting for after that?

Just STFU with your pure speculation. It’s not helpful.

OP speculated this has something to do with the professor’s religion. Have a seat.

A few pro-Israel and antisemitism-focused social media accounts posted that he was Jewish and "vocally pro-Israel." These are accounts that have a significant following among American Jews and a few people I personally know reposted the content in their IG stories.

These accounts tend to post slanted information and really try to push emotional buttons of Jewish social media users.

As I tell my children, if something you read on line causes an immediate, strong, emotional reaction, take a step back, breathe, and be suspicious of the source. Don't react and especially don't repost until you dig deeper and find out the facts from multiple reputable sources. Don't be an angry lamb.

Stop speculating fool

Different poster and former prosecutor here.

That’s not speculation, that’s a statement of fact. Although among men stranger murders are more common, it’s more often than not someone you know who murders or manslaughters you, if you die by intentional homicide.

That’s just the stats.

He was well liked and respected - hailing from central Portugal.

His focus was into topics like magnetic reconnection, turbulence, and developing clean energy solutions through fusion.

May his soul rest in peace, his loved ones find consolation in his life well lived, and his work not be in vain.

Fusion is just ten years away.

Would love to hear more about his life’s work - the development of clean energy.

All of this is heartbreaking. It does feel like we are living on a cliff’s edge and with that we feel each one of these tragedies and crimes so acutely.
