+1 to cookbooks. You can tailor it to her interests or area she likes.

I once got a fancy luggage tag as a gift and loved it because I wouldn't have ever bought it for myself.

If she likes to cook, Williams Sonoma has a bunch of great sauces/starters/ingredients for things.

A gift card to a cool coffee shop or cafe (not a chain like Starbucks)

I will say a couple things
1. Scented body lotions and soaps – a lot of people have skin irritations. I usually get a basket or two of these every year from a friend or relative. They go to the donation bin.
2. If you know, the person likes chocolate or coffee or wine, these are quick and easy and usually a hit.
3. Candles, if you know they like candles.

Most of these are imaginary and people think they're too good for these things. Just buy high quality, not Bath& Bodyworks level crap. Tons of high end companies out there with clean and organic ingredients.

But why? I've gone through so many to find the few products that don't break me out. If it's scented, I'm not even going to try whatever you're giving me. I'd much prefer some smart wool or Bombas socks.

This is why gifts are so hard. People are hard to please!

I had an adult friend whose love language was gifts. She was picky and rude. If your friend doesn’t appreciate your effort, just be mindful,
OP. So many narcissists’ love language is gifts.

I would like a small pretty cake from a bakery.

Or a good book.

Or any product my friend has tried and recommends for herself. To make it easy for me to try.

These cute charms from LLBean: https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/203?page=bag-charms-and-accessories&bc=50&csp=f&nav=gnro-hp

I bought an assortment for every adult in who will be celebrating Christmas this year. I'm going to wrap them identically and let folks open and negotiate to get their favorite one.

For the cook or baker, this vanilla bean paste: https://www.costco.com/p/-/nielsen-massey-madagascar-bourbon-pure-vanilla-bean-paste-8-oz/100854891

Wine/champagne, a book, bath or body oil, a "coupon" for some kind of fun outing together.

Socks. WTF, are you my grandmother??

I need socks. Good socks are hard to find too.
