We sent our August birthday girl on time. She ended up repeating 8th after finishing at her K-8, but that was mostly for ADHD/executive functioning reasons. Socially she was fine, and academics were fine except for the executive functioning piece.

Held late August girl back. Now in high school. Zero regrets. In private late August is not close to oldest.
