They got T. Taylor.
Oof, bit of a step down from Michelle Obama.
Does no one think that Taylor being listed could still mean M.O. as a surprise guest? Of course he'd want to be there if so. And so this is a convenient cover-up.
No, I don't think that is what is happening. Taylor's a BCC grad so is probably delighted to give the graduation address.
Michelle Obama is done with giving her time to the world and is probably very selective about what she does publicly. She doesn't even go to typically expected events such as US president or VP funerals.
It's the 100th anniversary of their school. And wasn't he a graduate of that school 30 years ago?
Quite an embarrassment that he is the best grad they could find.
Here is the list of famous BCC grads on wikipedia:

How is it that Thomas Taylor did not make that list?!

This is inaccurate. We received an email today that the speaker is the retired lead security assistant from Frost MS. Nothing personal against this individual but it is just a really odd choice. They played up his relationship to students who attended Frost but what about the 1/3 of kids who didn’t. I guess they couldn’t find a speaker. This really feels so fitting for the year we have had.
Taylor should have stepped up.

I’d rather have someone who knows my kids’ school and has a personal connection to the community instead of someone invited just because they’re “famous.”
Exactly.
