The cats are fighting over a twisty tie. One of them loves twisty ties and his tail is puffed up and he’s hissing angrily at his bully of a brother, who does not give an eff about twisty ties but loves to steal things from his little plastic-loving brother.

Bummer time right now with family losing streak at our sports. We practice so hard, private lessons, etc. It's just a bummer.

Whining here because I can’t in real life. I went on a weekend girls trip and dh set up the Christmas decor. Except… it looks awful. Things are scattered all over the house, like DS’s nutcrackers are spread to every room. And the garland is all over the place and just done wrong. The Christmas tree has no ribbon and half the lights are out, but ornaments are on it now. Wreaths are hung awkwardly on the windows (8 windows) and aren’t even. I just loved my Christmas stuff so much and can’t bring myself to do it now. Every single surface and bit of floor in my house is covered in Christmas crap. It’s awful. Frankly I just want to put it all back in the box and into the attic.

My elf on the shelf will unload your dishwasher. Then return to his one spot. One spot, I tell you.

The thing is, even if the hamper is empty, it is likely that there are clothes in the washer or dryer or a laundry basket waiting to be folded. If not, there will be clothes in the hamper again ANY MINUTE! (And DH does his own laundry 75% of the time.) But between my two kids and me, all of whom work out or play sports every day, the laundry is seemingly never ending.

I delegated this to my 8 year old. Nothing gives me as much pleasure as watching someone else unload it. We're a family of 5 who cooks a lot. I think I've been unloading it since I was a kid, so it was time to pass the baton.

I did this, too. I read it all the way through, and I enjoyed it, but the whole time it was sort of like, "oh yea ... I remember this ..."

Someone gave us an elf on a shelf. Don’t get parents of young children an elf on the shelf or anything where parent has to do work. He will have a not-changing home on shelf, thank you.

Getting a new puppy next week and it's all I can think about. I can hardly function at work.

I have huge age spots appearing on my face after so much sunscreen teens to now.

I got released from jury duty right before number called when I really wanted to see the questions they would ask me. Build up! The intrigue!
