Yeah, I like Bowser but I definitely went on a date with a leftist a few years ago who complained about her being "in the pocket of big business."
I know it's a surprise for leftists, but big business brings the dollars to the economy. Sorry, mom and pop stores don't have the scale to compete in some markets.

Whoever he's told to tap.
Exactly!! He is Murial Bowser's pick because he gets in bed with the developers in this city. McDuffie will not bring anything new to DC. He is as corrupt as they come, and the Ward 5 Community knows this all too well. He was a significant disappointment to Ward 5, which is why he had to switch to the Independent Party and run for an At-Large seat. He is VERY pro-criminal. I am not so sure about JLG either. People in Ward 4 say she has done nothing that she promised she would. We are screwed.

This is the most important question in this election cycle.
The biggest challenge with DC politics as I see it is there's no credible opposition party. Sure, you've got the lefty progressive/DSA types and the good ol' boy old-school Dems, but they're both part of the same Democratic Party and all run in a closed primary, which is the de facto general election. Ranked-choice voting will help, but I'd love to see some sort of opposition party that wasn't a bunch of MAGA morons or weird libertarian types. Open primaries would probably help too.
