Be careful, a lot of AirBnB hosts have cameras outside they door and they monitor who comes and goes and what is being brought in etc. If you bring in more people or different people than you told them or you have a party and they see, they can kick you out and you lose your money.

Some are really picky and rule oriented.

As long as you stay with the girls and they just hang and watch Netflix, I would not consider this a party for AirBNB/VRBO purposes. Just be sure to list the correct number of guests because they often have ring cameras at the door to count. Many also have noise monitors, but they would have to be quite loud.

It’s still a party. BUT the better idea is to send the siblings away for the night.

This sounds like a better idea. Get the brothers out of the house and use your house for the party. They could go to a hotel and use the pool, game room, etc. or to some sort of event space (Zavazone Urban Air, etc.) during the party time.


If they’re like us, they wouldn’t have anyone they could actually send the brothers too. I’m sure they thought about that.

The post quite literally answers your question in the 3rd sentence. "We live in a row house and she has younger brothers (11 and 7) at home so she doesn’t want to have it here either."


They’re going to sit around and binge Netflix. Why can’t the dad take their brothers out to do something else for several hours? It makes no sense to rent an entire home that they don’t even intend on sleeping in.


I’m the reverse. Older brother. Dad takes older brother away when daughter wants to have friends over. It kinda sucks but is easier for everyone and honestly probably makes the parents more comfortable. 10 year old girl and 15 year old boy. Just take the boys away. We have a small home to and is harder to hide in the house.


The reverse works too. My 8 year old is adamant she doesn’t want to even be in the house when her 11 year old brother has 6 friends over for his birthday (noise!!!), so we arranged a sleepover with a friend.
