The odds go down significantly regular decision. I assume they missed the EA deadline. The SAT is great but the GPA is low for UMD (crazy I know because that’s a great GPA). My son in-state with a weighted 4.4 didn’t bother to apply based on admissions from his HS last year. Of course VA schools weight GPA differently so it’s not apples to apples and I suspect admissions makes adjustments knowing this. I think it would be a 50/50 EA but for RD it’s a reach.
This. During our tour we heard they take almost 95% of their class EA.
