10K among the 3

Oldest gets 5K, middle gets 3K, youngest gets 2K a month. That's it.

My learned experience is that they need money more than whatever gift I think is cool.

I don't feel guilty because my ex just spent 60K doing one of those Bravo yacht experiences for a WEEKEND

Does anyone else think that this is bonkers? How old are these kids? Good luck making self sufficient earners.

Anonymous wrote:Wow this makes me so happy we stopped doing Xmas presents when the kids got old enough for it to be kind of hard to figure out what they might want. I live away from where they each live and in a nice place with good weather so now I just get them each a plane ticket (around $300) and then we enjoy time together in a lovely vacation-type place. They know that’s what they’re getting and nothing more.

That sounds nice.

You mean blue light? UV would be terrible.

Anonymous wrote:My 22-year old son likes experiences and practical items. He already has a lot of his preferred ‘stuff’ and lives in a very small apartment with little room for new things.

Some things from his wish list:
-SCUBA lessons
-Snowboarding pass to local ski/board area
-Behind the Scenes Tour of local football or baseball or basketball stadium or arena
-Ocean fishing charter day trip
-Gas gift cards
-Costco membership
-Premium streaming membership for a year

Same with ours, with a sprinkle of knickknacks, a reheat-able coffee mug, and wood working tools sprinkled in.
