It is helpful but the group is for truly average to below average kids, not DMV average kids. Like my kid doesn’t really fit the group’s criteria but kid also doesn’t have at 4.5GPA/1500 SAT and spectacular ECs. There should be a group for slightly above average, but not impressive kids.

NP. I’ve had two kids graduate from JMU. Both have had excellent outcomes - internships and early career placement. Their peers from JMU have had similar success. If you don’t have kids of your own at these schools, then you really don’t know what you’re talking about.

And FYI, neither JMU nor Longwood are in Roanoke… and Roanoke isn’t “in the middle of nowhere”.


Lol! Yes, JMU is in Harrisonburg. Longwood is in Farmville. The only VA public in Roanoke is Virginia Western Community College.

And PP doesn't understand how job applications/hiring works in the era of the internet.

BC is a huge reach, look at the stats.

I would look hard at Elon. 90%+ acceptance rate for ED, 68% for RD. Practically speaking we don't know anyone who was rejected. (this assumes you can pay).
