I’m not sure I expect them to come to my neighborhood but I surely expect there to be clear signs of courtesy and ability to negotiate mutual needs. I would be very put off if he suggested a spot that was much closer to him unless it was somewhere he knew I wanted to go. That said “Arlington” is big, and if OP’s reason to not go into DC is purely parking … that’s ridiculous and all on her. sorry no I am not meeting at some mall in Ballston just because you refuse to metro.
