Why do you care if they’re smug? That doesn’t change the fact that your kid has ADHD. You will always have to be involved like this, even when your kid is an adult. Are you going to resent these comments for the rest of your life? Get over it. It is what it is.

OP here. Actually my kid has severe ADHD. She also has OCD, so I guess maybe that disorder helps her in this situation? Honestly, if I thought she couldn't manage it, I would offer the help, but she seems to be on it. I just thought it was odd that this mom was boasting about how she is so on top of her kid's application process with no involvement from her student apparently.
