As Elon has said, as A.I. and robotics take over more jobs, new jobs will be created, and also UBI will be a thing.
Just try to get ahead of the curve and realize that many desk-jobs and white collar jobs will be taken first by A.I., leaving mostly labor jobs.
UBI would be government regulation, hon.
Whatever AI may be in the future, it's not taking anyone's jobs now. Companies laying off "because AI" are lying.

Wait until you hear about the advancements in A.I. sex bots and dolls. It's crazy!
They are even making bots with human tissue wombs that they are trying to use to carry a test-tube baby to term.
Women will be made obsolete by A.I. and robotics.![]()
It makes sense that this is where they are putting the AI effort, instead of curing cancer or poverty. Basically tracks along with human history.
I think we’re just starting to see the beginning of AI taking over entry level jobs. AI is close to being able to do what a not very good college intern does, so if it keeps improving it will soon be able to do what a standard 22 year old can do. But if we replace all the entry level folks with AI, we’ll never have the people trained to do the harder jobs. I think CS is seeing some of this, and it may start happening in things like labs which use low level people to do data analytics that AI will be able to do. And accounting I bet as well.

In just the last 5 min I have found 2 A.I. posts on this site. (Not yours, saying other user's posts, but it's being used a lot.)
Did you pay for them? No. Were they better quality than a real person would have written? TBD. The real person who posted them saved their time by using AI. That makes them more productive at doing something uncompensated. Plus the AI that was used cost money to produce those free responses.
I think AI will be a tool like the Internet. Some jobs could go away but AI is more of a tool than a job replacer.
So you are the frequent copy and paste AI poster eh?
AI will be paired with robots (already is in some cases) to do more jobs than you can obviously imagine.

Very wrong (consider why you are able to drink your tap water- regulations!) but in this case AI is not the one taking the jobs so regulating it is not going to solve that problem.
You have the mindset of learned helplessness. It's probably a big part of any difficulty you have in your life.
Can you identify any incorrect points I made or are you only capable of unrelated ad hominem?
Why not work on yourself instead? Why so focused on others? That could also be part of the problem.
Another ad hominem- what does that have to do with AI?
Stay on topic then? You seem to be distracted easily. That's a sign of A.I. in of itself, as too much info at once creates conflicting points in the analysis of the data.
AI regulation is not going to keep companies from layoffs because AI is not causing the layoffs. Do you disagree?
Why would I? Companies decide to lay off workers due to advancing technology allowing more or equal work being done by tech rather than human labor. It's not the A.I.'s fault, no more than it's the automobile's fault that mule-skinners are mostly out of work now.
What work is AI doing?
Why doesn’t AI collect trash? Or wash my dishes.

In reality I think companies have figured out they can get rid of people and force existing employees to work harder or more, and they overhired during 2021-2023. Last this admin is creating uncertainty and companies are reluctant to hire.
