Stop singling one young woman out, OP. She's not more at fault here than anyone else of the millions of humans who think like her.
DP, but yes she is at fault and exactly what most of humanity hates, a rich person lecturing about wealth when they don't give up their own wealth and walk the walk.
She JUST gave away millions of dollars, are you kidding? Maybe make sure you know what you’re talking about before you go off.
Chump change. Tax writeoff. Selfish grandstanding on her part.
The sad part is some people are truly gullible enough to fall for that rich people fake generosity crap like that.
She’s worth $50M, gave away $11.5M. Have YOU given away 20% of your wealth to help others? No need to reply, I know the answer.
I "give" more than 20% of income to the government each year in taxes.
She doesn't need that 40 million she still has. Too much.
You pay taxes only because the government makes you. State your charitable contributions. It won’t take long, I’m sure.

People are jealous of wealth to the level of a Billie Eilish, i.e. millions to tens of millions of dollars. Once you get past that, people aren’t jealous anymore - they’re disgusted.
The problem is the billionaires (and now trillionaires, I guess). There is a reason most humans think like her. They’re not wrong.

It’s not like Musk has a giant pool of money in his basement, in which he swims around Scrooge McDuck style. His wealth is continued ownership of companies he has built and which are doing amazing things—say what you will about the guy politically or personally, Space X is a game changer for humanity and it would not have happened without him—so to say he is “hoarding wealth” is a little bit of a category error. He’s creating wealth, of which he is keeping a piece. If you’re concerned about wealth hoarding—i question the term, its communist agitprop—I can see complaining about, say, some Wal Mart heiress who is sitting on 12 billion dollars by accident of birth. Musk is the wrong place to start on this issue, in my opinion.
Sure, for a select few. Meanwhile he was responsible for thousands losing their jobs, in the name of “efficiency.” But keep lapping his taint! It feels good to him.
How many jobs have you created?

OK Billie - so it's bad for someone to be richer that you? How about all the wealth you hoard?
I would love to see her donate ALL of her tens of millions to the causes she want to see Musk take care of. What a joke.
She was told to do as she does. No celebrity acts on their own free will anymore, they are forced to take certain stances and push certain issues.

C. Barks was such a treasure. Remember how he'd sit at the cafe by himself his last years in life. Brilliant man. Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:We shouldn’t have trillionaires on this planet. Billie is right.
